“Progress Through Technology” is the company ethos for German-based leading luxury performance auto manufacturer, Audi. As the core belief that drives the development of every vehicle, it is also seen through their innovative marketing approach, including most recently their development of mobile applications to drive customer engagement. As a result, Audi has increased sales, drove higher conversion rates, and gained new customer insight.
Goals and Challenges:
Audi’s partnered with MobileBridge to address the challenge involved in the preparation, design, and marketing launch of the new Audi R8 vehicle in the South Korean market. Wanting to capitalize on the customer engagement benefits provided by mobile, they enhanced their launch with mobile applications designed to not only interact with customers better, but also provide dealership leads for sales people.
With enhanced customer data, Audi marketers and sales representatives would be able to have better customer insights. As a result, Audi needed to adopt a new solution that would make customer data actionable and support better processes for the sales team, including integration with their existing lead generation processes and systems. Further, Audi needed a solution that empowers marketers to engage better with their customers during auto shows and test drives.
Audi deployed MobileBridge in two different mobile apps. The first app focused on their customers in an approach that targeted prospects who attended showings or did test drives. With Audi’s pre-existing CRM data and the integration of MobileBridge, such pre-existing data became synchronized with new, acquired data through the mobile app. For example, real-time customer data populated when users registered their profile information through the app.
The second app focused on generating leads for the business. Mobile app users who completed in-app forms for test drives, profiles, preferences and more were synced with existing CRM data. In turn, these leads were then distributed to the sales people at the dealerships to then add help the customer find the right vehicle.
We are excited for the innovative things Audi is doing with mobile to generate interest in their latest performance supercar, the A8. If you’d like to learn more about MobileBridge customer success stories like this, check them out here.
